Joel Hosner APMA™
Joel joined WBH Advisory in 2023, after previously working in financial planning and investment research roles. Joel believes that broad-based financial planning can improve financial and investment decision-making and incorporates this outlook into how he serves clients. Joel has completed the CFP® Certification Professional Education Program and the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor™ designation program through the College for Financial Planning®. Joel has experience offering guidance related to investments, risk management, tax, retirement, and estate planning.
Prior to entering the financial industry, Joel worked as a public-school teacher where he taught technology, math, and personal finance. In his free time, Joel volunteers as a financial coach, helping people who are striving for financial stability and independence.
Joel is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned a Master of Science degree in Business Administration – Entrepreneurship, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Joel is also a graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University, where he earned a Master of Arts in Teaching Students with Disabilities.
Joel lives near Pikesville, MD with his wife Malka and his children: Ahava Esther, Yitzhak Leib, and Baruk Elazar.
